Leonard Dufresne was born in 1941 in Fall River, Massachusetts.

B.F.A., M.F.A., 1970, Maryland Institute, Baltimore, Maryland;

1966, Skowhegan School, Skowhegan, Maine.

Dufresne was a member of First Street Gallery during the early 1970’s. His paintings were exhibited at OK Harris Works Of Art from 1975 until the gallery closed in 2014.  His work is in numerous private and public collections and he has been the recipient of grants, including one from the Pollock Krasner Foundation.  A New York City resident for many years, Dufresne now lives and works in Upstate New York with his wife, Lee Stoliar.
